About Me
I specialize in working with individuals, couples, and families who are navigating relational challenges, particularly those struggling with addiction recovery, including sexual compulsivity, internet addiction, and gambling. With over 25 years of experience, I have developed a deep understanding of the complexities that arise in these situations, especially when trauma is involved. I also have extensive experience working with families, adolescents, and Adult Children of Alcoholics, helping them heal from intergenerational patterns and emotional wounds. My approach is rooted in creating a safe space for open dialogue, resolving emotional reactivity, and fostering understanding among family members. By considering each person’s perspective and using a contextual framework, I aim to facilitate meaningful connections and promote healing within relationships.
My practice is uniquely informed by the integration of contextual family therapy and evidence-based trauma treatments, such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Prolonged Exposure Therapy. This combination allows me to address both the relational dynamics and the individual trauma that often underlies addiction and emotional distress. I believe in a holistic approach to healing, one that prioritizes the well-being of clients and their families while fostering resilience and recovery. Whether working with individuals, couples, or families, my goal is to help clients build healthier patterns, process unresolved trauma, and create a foundation for lasting change and connection.
